FootNotes Around The World

Bangalore

I was born and raised in this city for the first 7 years of my life. After moving back to the States, I make an effort to go once a year and spend time with my family. As always I am accompanied by good food, memories, and people that always make my time worthwhile. Going back every year teaches me a new lesson and sometimes the same lesson from a different perspective. Each trip grounds me to my roots and reminds me of my purpose in this world. The first photo is my favorite click I have of my Uncles and me (old but gold).

Dubai

This trip was an eye-opening experience. During this trip, we explored: the Museum of Future, City Boat Tour, Sand Dunes, and all the food to experience with it. The whole experience felt like something an Aladdin Tale would have. Absolutely unreal experience surrounded by innovation and people from all different walks of life.

Cancun

This trip was dedicated to our graduating class of 23′ for finishing a 4-year degree in different institutions in Chicago, we decided to book a trip to Cancun. All these young professionals achieved degrees in any language of business you can name. Our excursions weren’t just limited to nightlife but snorkeling, speedboating, a visit to Isla de Mujeres, and testing the waters with jet-skis. A trip in the books starting to the left with Alpha Iota Omicron (AIO) brothers Slime, Wraith, Cloud, Simba, Huncho(me), Jefe, Tiller, Gohan & Mercy.

Chicago

For four years, this city embraced me as its own. From 2019-2023 I made some of the best memories and connections. This urban jungle was my incubator, nurturing dreams into roaring realities, whispering possibilities on every corner… Voted best big city for 7 consecutive years and I was lucky enough to stay for the last 4 years. The picture to the right is my best friend Lucas Apparecido whom I met two doors down living on campus, only to live with him for the next 3 years!

Miami

One of the places I most often visit in the States alongside California. This place always brings good vibes, food, and a beach that never disappoints. Believe it or not, my love for Italian food came from the streets of Ocean Drive. And while the winter chills the rest of us, friendly locals assure me it’s always 80 degrees and sunny in Miami. When I crave vitamin sea, a mental escape to Florida’s coasts never fails to lift my spirits. The state has left an imprint on my soul along with my palate. If I close my eyes, I can almost feel the Florida sunshine.

London

A city rich with history and architecture. I was able to be see many historic locations and sites including: Big Ben, London bridge, London eye, Chinatown, and Tower of London where the famous Koh-i-noor diamond exists! The exiting life of central London showed me that wealth exists not just in lifestyle but how you carry yourself. Each person dressed uniquely with style and flooded the streets with fashion.

Goa

I was accompanied on this weekend getaway trip by the best genes in the world, my family! Though all of us live in different parts of the world we were able to reconnect in Goa and book a villa that lodged us comfortably. We had good food, drinks, and a pool to enjoy!

California

Sun-kissed Venice Beach, California, playground of Muscle Beach and funky shops, backdrop to vibrant murals and even more vibrant reunions! There, beside one of my oldest friends Yug Mahajan, a bond forged ever since I could speak English, we raise a toast to that every day. And what’s sweeter than one? Two, of course!

The Journey still continues
